About This Role
The Udemy GTM Strategy & Operations team’s mission is to drive the Strategic direction and GTM execution with a high performing team to deliver market leading profitable growth through strategic thought leadership, data based insights, collaboration and results orientation. The team executes on its mission by delivering the process and information flows that optimize the entire customer journey, promoting cross-functional alignment, overseeing resource and performance planning, refining key processes to increase efficiencies, and adopting best-in-class tools and technologies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SaaS, Sales and Customer success compensation and experience in Sales/Go-to-Market Operations. They will need to be data-driven, detail-oriented, customer-focused, business-minded, and intellectually curious. You understand how impactful data can be in determining the right strategy, and how important smooth operations are to executing that strategy. You will need to roll up your sleeves and implement the necessary processes and tools to advance our GTM strategy.
What you'll be doing
- Lead annual global compensation plan strategy, guidelines, development and documentation
- Drive Global annual commission planning strategy & execution
- Partner with Commercial leadership to design incentive programs that motivate sellers to achieve/exceed their sales and revenue goals
- Support escalations and provide clarification on the application of compensation program policies and procedures, as required
- Own the annual hiring plan for all the sales and customer success team members within the global Commercial organization
- Track attainment insights across the Commercial teams, analyze sales performance results, and make recommendations to Commercial leaders, Finance and HR
- Oversee the commissions setup, processing, and analysis to ensure the completeness and accuracy of commissions payments
- Manage global distribution of plans and provide visibility into plan/quota/attainment as well as payout information
- Compile analytics around commissions/bookings/revenue/attainment/ramp
- Collaborate across organizations to manage commission payroll activities with Finance and address inquiries, schedules, and exceptions within Sales/Customer Success, establishing oneself as a cross-functional resource to streamline business processes that increase Commercial productivity and remove bottlenecks
- 8+ years experience in Sales Operations, GTM Operations and/or business analytics including 5+ years in Sales Compensation
- Proficiency in designing comp plans aligned with company strategy and financial goals
- Experience with compensation automation/tools like Xactly, Spiff (used at Udemy), CaptivateIQ in SaaS companies at a scale ideally of $1B+ ARR
- Salesforce knowledge: complex dashboards and reports, custom report types, calculated fields, workflows
- Experience with GTM tools such as Clari, Salesloft, Outreach.io, Zoominfo, Dun & Bradstreet, etc. preferable
- Exceptional quantitative and Excel/Gsheet skills (SUMIFS, index/match & vlookup, table formulas)
- Proven track record of working closely with senior leaders in a SaaS B2B business
- Get-it-done mindset. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done
- A ‘what’s best for the business’ attitude, and willingness to try new things, tackle complex projects and challenges
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, able to work on complex business issues with minimal supervision

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits and equity.
