Senior PowerFlex Software Engineer

The PowerFlex Software Engineering team creates advanced software solutions for various applications and platforms. Using cutting-edge technologies, methodologies, and collaboration with internal and external partners, we design and develop software that adapts to a changing world.

Join us as a PowerFlex Software Engineer on our Software Engineering team in Hopkinton, Massachusetts or RTP, North Carolina or a remote location on the East Coast and make a significant impact on society while doing the best work of your career.

What You'll Accomplish

As a Software Senior Principal Engineer , you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge software and finding creative solutions to meet our business needs. Learn more about PowerFlex here.

You will:

  1. Lead the development of complex software features throughout the agile software lifecycle.
  2. Gather, investigate, and shape software requirements into actionable items.
  3. Write high-quality modular software designs and implement great code.
  4. Define and implement tests and metrics to ensure high-quality software.
  5. Create clear and accurate technical documentation and provide long-term support.
  6. Improve stability by troubleshooting issues and integrating smart solutions.
  7. Contribute to the improvement of development methodologies.
  8. Coach peers and lead design reviews to enhance the quality of our product.
  9. Help navigate our architecture roadmap.

What we're looking for

Essential Requirements:

  1. 12+ years of hands-on experience in storage, device drivers, databases, networking, embedded software/firmware development, or Linux.
  2. Excellent coding skills with in-depth knowledge of C/C++.
  3. A great team player who knows when to act independently.

Desirable Requirements:

  1. Robust knowledge in storage systems and replication technologies.
  2. Experience and understanding of Linux internals and agile methodologies.
