Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Perform software test activities in support of system development efforts and working within an Agile Software Development Methodology.
2. Be responsible for running manual tests in preparation for sprint releases.
3. Build and improve test automation suite.
4. Add tests to our Automation suite using Selenium and Cypress.
5. Estimate, prioritize, and execute testing activities.
6. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
7. Perform Adhoc testing in all aspects of the application.
8. Use Assembla for task tracking, reporting bugs, standups etc.
9. Use slack channel for communication and alert team for any immediate issue resolution.
10. Attend all required Team meetings and collaborate with the onsite team for Sprint related activities.
11. Run automation scripts and validate the results.

Required Skills:

Non-technical skills

1. Excellent analytical skills, ability to dig deep and understand the overall testing strategy.
2. Strong communication skills with a proactive attitude.
3. Should be creative and also possess good time management.
4. Should be flexible and able to adapt and adjust to the changes in the sprint cycle.
5. Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks independently.
6. Self-managing, requiring minimal supervision and quick to pick up new skills.

Technical skills

1. Cypress, Selenium.
2. TDD and Test Automation.
3. Knowledge of Cucumber or equivalent BDD test framework a plus.
4. Web-Based Testing Applications.
5. Mobile Application Testing.
6. API testing using Postman or similar tools.
7. Ability to use browser debug tools.
8. Cross-Browser Testing.
9. Knowledge and hands-on experience of any one Test Management Tool.
10. Basic knowledge of Software Automation and ability to run automation scripts.

Experience & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Overall 3-5 years of experience in designing and executing test cases on web based & mobile applications. Ecommerce or insurance related experience is a big plus.
3. Must have strong QA fundamentals with experience in functional testing, regression testing and exploratory testing.
4. Experience working in a Scrum Agile Environment.
5. Good Knowledge and experience in Software Testing Automation.
