We are looking for a Fire Suppression Department Manager to join our team in Portland, OR . The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, and excellent time management and problem-solving skills. Experience is required.

As the Suppression Service Manager , your role involves overseeing the team responsible for kitchen suppression, service, and repair. Your main duties include achieving robust business growth while ensuring high levels of employee and customer satisfaction. This entails meeting financial and operational targets that pave the way for future expansion and investments.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Ensuring the team meets or exceeds revenue, margin targets, utilization, quality, and scheduling KPIs.
2. Establishing a system and monitoring schedule to ensure each job meets quality and profitability standards. Conducting regular site visits to mentor, train, and validate field team performance.
3. Managing, coaching, mentoring, and leading field and administration teams, conducting annual reviews, and ensuring ongoing training and certification updates.
4. Acting as the primary contact for Alexander Gow within the restaurant community and local AHJs, nurturing relationships with strategic customers and industry associations.
5. Encouraging idea exchange and fostering cross-team learning opportunities to inspire optimal performance among employees.
6. Enhancing processes and maintaining a positive culture across office and field teams to uphold Alexander Gow's values and reputation in the industry.
7. Collaborating with the Suppression Inspections Manager and the Operations Manager to manage revenue, margins, and operating expenses in your business unit to achieve monthly and annual business plan goals.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the suppression system or route-based industry.
2. At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience, demonstrating effective team leadership.
3. Experience leading scheduling or route-based teams, with familiarity using ServiceTrade being advantageous.
4. High school diploma or GED required; a college degree in business management or related field preferred.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging diverse groups and teams effectively.
7. Thorough understanding of financial processes and budgeting principles.
8. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
