Overview:
As a successful Director of Sales – Baseball Factory, you will lead our sales efforts for our baseball and softball events. This position has a strong emphasis on relationship building. This is a remote position, with some required travel.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals for Baseball Factory/Softball Factory Player Development, Exclusive College Recruiting, and Tournament events
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual new player attendance for baseball/softball one-day evaluation/tryouts
- Create weekly/monthly giveaway incentives to high school coaches that nominate players (fungo, bucket hat, tickets to games, etc.)
- Report monthly, quarterly, and annual performance with VP of Sales and Service
- Implement sales strategies to help each sales rep meet their individual goals
- Work with VP of Marketing and Lead Player ID rep/ops to collect player names from industry databases
- Evaluate each sales rep annual performance
- Recruit and interview to maintain constant pipeline of quality candidates
- Collect feedback from players, parents, coaches on BF/SF events and share with operations
- Create periodic sales contests to keep sales reps motivated
Player Development Coordinator (PDC) Production:
- PDC training
- 1 day event preparation, on field talk, and role of the PDC at that event (interacting with parents etc.)
- Evaluation/Tryout calls
- Event benefits and Program benefits
- Follow up process
- 24hr rule of getting back to families whether it is for a registration, logistics question on travel, or customer service issues
- Intro training
- Re-establish high school contacts for nominations
- Opening up new databases and current lead sources (Ripken, PG, PBR, NCSA)
- Importance of intro events
- Video, metrics, understanding of strengths and weaknesses
- Opportunity to make a BF/SF Ripken event and how that helps
- Fill intro events with new players
- Work closely with marketing for email campaigns and generation of lead sources etc.
- Tournament training
- Contact all national and regional travel/club programs
- Contact college coaches, scouts to attend events
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of working with youth, parents, and coaches.
- Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and prepare written reports.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s Service Standards.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to direct work tasks and plan ahead.
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends as the business requires.
- Some travel required
