Day to Day: Insight Global is looking for a Senior Land Design Civil Engineer to join the team at one of our national civil engineering design consulting clients. The Senior Land Design Civil Engineer will join a dynamic team in the southeast region, contributing to a variety of projects including industrial/commercial land development, solar, and mining. This hybrid role offers opportunities in multiple locations such as Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Raleigh, Charlotte, and Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have worked within a design consulting firm, working on designs using the stated software above that will be presented to clients within the public and private sector.
Responsibilities:
Design and generate professional plans, specifications, technical calculations, exhibits, and reports for:
Site Layout, Grading, Storm Drainage, Water & Sewer Utilities
Erosion and Sediment Control
Storm Water Best Management Practices
Various Civil 3D Plans, exhibits, and technical deliverables
Municipal and State permitting
Support clients by:
Evaluating designs to address constructability, municipal code, and site challenges
Coordinating with Architects, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineers
Conducting site visits for job scoping and coordination with survey crews, SUE, Geotech, etc.
Providing periodic construction support, including reviewing RFIs & Shop Drawings, and conducting field inspections
Annual Compensation:
$75,000 - $120,000
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
4+ years of related experience in civil engineering
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, and MS Office
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
