Jefferson Wells has a direct hire opportunity in the Detroit MI area. Our client is seeking an experienced ( 5+ years minimum ) senior accountant skilled in taxes. You will do tax work in the following practice areas: individual, corporation, partnership. After tax season you will be part of the accounting team, delivering exceptional results to the clients of the firm.Some details:Public firm experience of at least 5 yearsThis is 100 % on site, limited client travelKey Responsibilities:Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals and corporations.Analyze financial statements and records to ensure accurate tax reporting.Conduct tax research to stay updated on current tax laws and regulations.Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax forecasts and projections.Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in tax compliance and reporting.Assist in tax audits and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines.What Else:Competitive salary and benefits package starting at 80KOpportunities for professional development and advancement, No CPA no problem we will help you obtain.A collaborative and supportive work environment.Work-life balance initiatives.ManpowerGroup is committed to providing equal employment opportunities in a professional, high quality work environment.
