Provide assistance for multiple tax engagements, as well as provide multinational clients with professional economic analytical services. Research complex tax issues and ensure their resolution with the support of subordinate tax professionals across multiple services lines and Deloitte member firms. Assist with driving the preparation and review of complex tax returns, financial statements, and transfer pricing reports. Formulate tax planning strategies utilizing economic methods, capital transactions, corporate taxation rules, and IRS practice and procedures. Assist with determining the potential impact of such developments on client business. Develop various valuation models and conduct complex economic, financial, and tax analysis to support transfer pricing methodologies.. Requires: Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus eighteen months of experience as a Tax Senior or related occupation gaining experience preparing U.S. and foreign transfer pricing reports documenting intercompany transactions for various multinational companies. Experience must include eighteen (18) months of: reviewing technical aspects of the regulatory framework of transfer pricing documentation and consulting work within multiple industries; utilizing tax research tools, transfer pricing databases, including Compustat, Bureau van Dijk (Osiris and Amadeus), Royalty Range and S&P Capital IQ, and statistical software, including MS Excel, designed to conduct transfer pricing analysis; conducting benchmarking analyses of various functions and activities, including Research and Development, Sales and Marketing, Distribution, Manufacturing, Back Office Support Services, Management Consulting, Brokerage, and Sub-Advisory; utilizing Capital IQ to conduct financial research on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor businesses to provide key insights for strategic planning, and conducting equity research using Bloomberg Terminal to evaluate investment opportunities and assess risks; applying new regulatory principles and guidelines under OECD's Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) initiative, preparing country-by-country reports, functional modules, Masterfile to document client's global business structure, and the functional and risk related information; performing ASC 740 reviews on transfer pricing reserves, preparing audits, reviewing workpapers and memos, and collaborating with audit team to collect and analyze data and audit client company transfer pricing processes; conducting financial statement analysis and building valuation models in relation to intellectual property migration strategy, and conducting functional analyses, benchmarking studies, and economic analyses to support transfer pricing methodologies; utilizing Alteryx and PowerQuery to design and build customized models to automate clients' cost allocations, quarterly monitoring, and year-end calculations; implementing Alteryx workflows for data blending, cleansing, and preparation to create streamlined data processes and improve reporting accuracy and utilizing PowerQuery to extract, transform, and load data to ensure data integrity and consistency; and mentoring and coaching junior team members.
