Seeking a Housing Specialist to join our interdisciplinary clinical team working with individuals diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or General Mental Health diagnosis under Court Ordered Treatment at our 51st Ave Recovery Health Center.

Full-Time Employed: 40 hours/week

Location: 51st Ave and Camelback Rd in Phoenix, AZ

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus (Additional Language Differential Pay Available)

As a Housing Specialist, you will provide direct services to facilitate client access to housing opportunities, address housing permanency, and support independent living in a community setting to clients served within Terros Health Recovery Centers. Works in conjunction with the client and clinical team staff to assess client needs and wants, assist the member in locating housing of their choice, and accessing affordable, safe, decent, and permanent housing. Supports clients in protecting their tenancy rights. Participates in the development of individual service plans, acts as a client advocate and liaisons with families and community agencies. Serves as primary point of contact between the RBHA, inpatient settings, and Recovery Center regarding housing needs for clients.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of behavioral health experience, or
  • A bachelor's degree in the field of behavioral or related field with 1 year of behavioral health experience, or
  • A master's degree or higher in the field of behavioral health field
  • 3 years working as a housing specialist preferred
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, electronic medical record, NextGen preferred
  • Valid AZ Driver License. Must have valid Arizona driver's license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health's driving policy
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card within 7 working days of employment
  • Interpersonal skills which allow for professional and positive relationships with co-workers, members, families, and other community members
  • Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions
  • Basic understanding of the DSM-V preferred
  • Certified Case Manager strongly preferred
  • Must pass background check, TB test and other pre-employment screening
