Our growing South Shore financial planning firm is looking for a part to potential full-time Client Services Manager to join our team. Our boutique firm provides personalized service to our small client base of high net worth individuals and families.

Role:

  • The Client Service Manager (a/k/a Manager of Getting Stuff Done) provides excellent service and operational support to the office staff and our clients.
  • Builds positive relationships with clients, business partners, and vendors while working to deliver meticulous service and solutions.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the office.
    • Perform client billing.
    • Run client performance reports.
    • Data entry of financial planning data.
    • Bookkeeping.
  • Perform accounts receivable/accounts payable and bookkeeping responsibilities.
  • Work with the firm's partners to communicate solutions either directly or indirectly with clients.
  • Research and resolve client issues, as needed.
  • Adhere to all compliance/risk procedures and follow corporate and industry protocols.
  • Support the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure that all paperwork, policies, and procedures for client requests have been adhered to in order to satisfy compliance requirements.
  • Participate in projects to improve processes and enhance the client experience.
  • Assist with ongoing marketing efforts and social media efforts.
  • Perform duties with confidence, minimal supervision, and sound judgment to mitigate risk for the firm.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks. Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) (Redtail, a plus) and Portfolio Management Software (Orion, a plus) strongly preferred. Research knowledge of software providers such as Morningstar, ValueLine, and Standard & Poor's.
  • Working knowledge of custodial operations (Charles Schwab, a plus).
  • Prior experience working with institutional trading platforms is helpful.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal and written.
  • Must have a sense of urgency, ability to multi-task and work unsupervised, with excellent organizational skills and judgment, and strong prioritization skills.
  • Must demonstrate a positive and professional image at all times.
  • College degree and five years of industry experience preferred.
  • Series 65 preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or working towards it is a plus.
