ID: 49842909 Shift: Days Description: Additional Information: Position Description: Position SummaryThe inventory, distribution/delivery of medications is required for all Patient Care area Positions.The primary function of a EP/Cardiovascular Technologist is to assist with care of patients undergoing diagnostic and/orinterventional EP/cardiology procedures in the EP/Cardiac Cath Lab. The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications may berequired.Position RequirementsFor all Patient Care area positions refer to the policy: Mandatory Education Classes/HoursMinimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required? Ability to read and communicate in the English language.Education? Graduate of an approved school of radiology.Required License and/or CertificationLicensure as a Registered Radiology Technologist (RT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)in the State of Maryland and/or Delaware.?Experience? Prefer one-year experience in cardiovascular radiology with experience in non-invasive and invasive procedures.Mental DemandsMust be able to answer inquiries about Cardiac Cath procedures, technologies, methodologies, answer questions about specificfactors that can influence test results.?? Must be able to organize effectively, work under restraints of time pressure, and an ever-changing schedule.? Knowledge of proper use of all catheter equipment and analytical methods in use in the Cath lab.? Ability to perform new procedures under the Director, Medical Director or Manager s direction.Must possess good communication and interpretive skills, be able to successfully report Cath results and patient condition tomedical and nursing staff as well as interpret oral and written orders.?Understands theory, as well as procedure of cardiac Cath and interventions by cardiologists for evaluation of validity of patientresults.?Must exhibit skills of communication, compassion, and helpfulness when dealing with patients, patient families, general public, andother medical health professionals.?? Adjust to change in policies, procedures, schedule, and fluctuation in workload.? May temporarily supervise Cath lab traffic in absence of Cath lab manager/leadResponsibilities for AssetsUnder the direction of the Executive Director of the Heart Center and the Cath Lab Manager, is responsible for proper utilization ofinstruments, equipment and supplies.?Contact with others? Close patient contact during long procedures.? Frequent contact with physicians to discuss procedure protocols and case histories.? Frequent contact with nursing personnel for purposes of patient preparation and scheduling.? Frequent contact with personnel as patients may have more than one study or may have need for transportation.? Frequent contact with physicians and their offices for purposes of patient scheduling and obtaining patient history.? Occasional contact with salespeople or specialists, who present advancing technological, change to the department.? Constant contact with cath lab personnel regarding shared responsibilities.? Frequent contact with patient s families and general public.? Frequent contact with acutely ill and/or disturbed patients.Work Schedule? Demonstrates personal responsibility for maintaining a satisfactory attendance record.? The employee is expected to work schedules that maintain the daily operation of the Cath Lab.? The cath lab is staffed for seven days a week, 24 hours per day.? Coverage, utilizing a scheduled staff and on-call team consisting of three technicians.? Rotational coverage of holidays; both scheduled to work and on-call duties will be necessary.Expected to work overtime and/or additional weekends in times of staffing shortages, emergencies, and unexpected increase inworkload.?? Expected to take on-call coverage in times of staffing shortages, emergencies and unexpected increase in workload.? Expected to respond in the event of a disasterComments: ***Up to $3,000 Relocation!***Salary Range: $30.98 - $48.02 Name of Position Requirements - Does candidate require sponsorship to work in the US? (required) - Confirmed this is for direct hire: - Graduate of an approved school of radiology? - Licensure as a Registered Radiology Technologist (RT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) in the State of Delaware? - 1 year experience e in cardiovascular radiology with experience in non-invasive and invasive procedures?
