This is an 11 month position from September 1st – July 31st.Location Utica, NYApplication DeadlineFull consideration by: 08/23/2024Open Until Filled YesMajor ResponsibilitiesProvides casework services to each student as neededHelps parents/guardians understand the Program, assists them with their issues and/or refers them to community resourcesExplores the home and neighborhood environment of the child and reports findings to YSLPP and school personnelImplements a parent involvement program in coordination with YSLPP leadership to meet the needs of each cohortWorks closely with school district personnel to meet the needs of individual studentsParticipates with other school/program personnel in case conferences for the total evaluation of the childServes as consultant to the director, site supervisors and other pupil personnel workers concerning problems of adjustment of individual pupilsServes as a mandated reporterResponsible for working with supervisor and other team members to achieve successful results on all established individual and departmental goals and key performance indicatorsTakes an active role in the development of the department’s strategic and operational plans as required by department leadership. Works closely with department supervisor to develop and implement operational goals that support departmental success.Participate and engage in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives and programs, including but not limited to serving on DEI committees, serving as a diversity advocate or community liaison for a job search, advising a club, facilitating DEI-related training, and engagement in institutional cultural and celebratory events and programming.May perform other related duties as assigned.Driving ResponsibilitiesThis position may occasionally involve regional travel using a University-owned or University-rented vehicle.TravelSupervises Social Work InternsEducation & Experience QualificationsM.S.W. or M.S.
