Summary
A growing and respected store fixture, millwork, and casework manufacturer seeking a seasoned Senior Project / Account Manager to join our organization. The Senior Project Manager / Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from RFQ through delivery to the client. The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter with a strong drive to succeed and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Communicating with clients on a daily and ongoing basis, verifying purchase orders and release orders, managing inventories, maintaining ship schedules, and occasionally visiting the client's headquarters and/or key retail shops. Working with our in-house support departments and vendors, including engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, shipping, and accounting, and managing projects from inception through completion, taking full ownership of an account.
Responsibilities
- Managing the project schedule end-to-end.
- Providing takeoffs of client/architect project drawings.
- Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of project definition.
- Maintaining all project documentation as prescribed by the company's business processes and procedures.
- Communicating effectively with all participating project constituents in a clear, timely, and organized manner.
- Monitoring vendors and installation contractors to ensure project quality, accuracy, and timely completion.
- Accurately capturing and reviewing the scope of work for each project and initiating change orders as necessary.
- Working closely with operations and procurement personnel to ensure adherence to company gross profit margin goals.
- Establishing clear, realistic expectations with the client and managing these expectations throughout the project cycle.
- Serving as the primary daily interface among the client, company, supply chain partners, and delivery and installation contractors.
Requirements
- Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, with the confidence to learn and work with a manufacturing computer system.
- Senior-level experience in woodworking is desired with salary commensurate with experience.
- A demonstrated history of maintaining strong client relationships.
- Manufacturing exposure and a general ability to read drawings.
- Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis.
- Strong business acumen with an eye for profitability.
