Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring for a Senior Electronics Engineering Manager position to manage the development of all electronics' hardware, both in-house and vendor developed, for Disruptive Networks and Computing (DC&N) in El Segundo, CA . The selected leader will manage a diverse team of chief engineers to provide oversight for all electronics hardware development by different Boeing organizations as well as different suppliers.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large team to develop complex electronics technologies being developed by different organizations within Boeing as well as different suppliers.
  • Develops and executes integrated plans, policies and procedures, and provides input on business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for project activities, provides technical management, and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates team to develop next generation technology.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
  • 5 or more years of leadership or management experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience leading and driving engineering strategies and/or processes.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience developing and implementing large-scale, high impact integrated organizational plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved.
  • Ability to build a safe environment of inclusion, transparency, and trust.
  • Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes.
  • Previous experience in leading, mentoring, and engaging individuals and teams.
  • Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance.
  • Can up-level existing team by hiring high performance talent, growing leaders, and helping underperforming members.
  • Can gain trust of team and provide guidance for their careers.
