The Lead Product Solutions Manager provides program support (end to end) for the ongoing operations of the product line annual cycle. This role is cross-functional and requires close collaboration with key stakeholders including Information Technology (I.T.), Operations, Health Services, Marketing & Sales to develop, organize, and execute departmental priorities and deliverables. The ideal candidate has extensive healthcare knowledge and experience (Commercial, Cal MediConnect and/or D-SNP, Medi-Cal) and will work independently to lead and facilitate complex projects that ensure deliverables are aligned with business objectives, on time, and support product retention and growth objectives. The role also includes mentoring and coaching assigned staff.

Duties

  1. Provides organizational representation in policy workgroups and stakeholder meetings.
  2. Evaluates policy and regulatory changes to identify impacts to product and business processes.
  3. Develops impact assessments and execution plans for new guidance implementation.
  4. Identifies opportunities and leads improvement projects to drive quality, membership, and revenue.
  5. Manages and leads cross-functional partnerships to improve stars and quality measures.
  6. Reviews current program data to identify cost containment initiatives and influences process improvement plans.
  7. Leads annual cycle work, identifies lessons learned, and coordinates with I.T. and other teams.
  8. Responsible for daily operational activities including staffing, productivity, and quality of work.
  9. Participates in hiring, coaching, training, and provides feedback on staff performance.
  10. Manages complex projects, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring timely deliverables.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree. In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Education Preferred

Master's Degree in Public Health or Related Field.

Experience

Required:

  1. At least 6 years in managed care (Medicare, Commercial, and/or Medi-Cal).
  2. Direct experience in managed care functions including stars, quality, and operational functions.
  3. At least 3 years of lead experience (process, program, or staff).

Preferred:

Minimum of 10 years of direct experience.

Skills

Required:

  1. Knowledge of product management and strategic planning concepts.
  2. Ability to lead and manage teams through ambiguity.
  3. Strategic thinking skills and ability to influence desired outcomes.
  4. Able to communicate results and business impacts to stakeholders.
