This Role…
As a Marketing Specialist, Membership at ATD, you will report to our Membership Marketing Manager, supporting the broader Marketing department.
Key Initiatives and Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of all website updates, including copywriting, web design, functionality, landing page creation, etc.
- Managing email marketing promotion, with audience segmentation, tailored messaging, and high-quality email design.
- Writing concise and powerful marketing copy for emails, website, social media ads, and other online or print communications as needed.
- Working regularly with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing messages are accurate and up to date.
- Coordinating with external vendors for digital and print communications.
- Coordinating with in-house graphic designers to develop graphics for website, email, digital ads, social media, promotional videos, brochures, and more.
- Creating and maintaining project timelines in support of marketing campaigns.
About You...
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent relevant experience is required.
- At least 2-5 years of experience with:
- Email marketing through marketing automation platforms and CRM.
- Managing websites through a CMS and web design best practices.
- Copywriting for marketing materials, specifically emails and websites.
- Audience segmentation and messaging.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Tracking and reporting campaign performance metrics.
- To succeed, you will have:
- An understanding of online marketing strategies for marketing campaign fulfillment.
- Problem-solving and deductive reasoning skills.
- Strong project management and communications skills.
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities simultaneously.
- An eagerness and willingness to learn and grow in your profession.
Please note, this is a hybrid position. In office time is required.

- The marketing team is a 20-person team with deep expertise in varying product lines and marketing.
- This is a collaborative team that works closely together to support ATD’s business objectives.
- We work in cooperation with other departments to provide members and nonmembers with knowledge and understanding of ATD's products and services.
- We also manage ATD's social media presence and engage with our global community of practitioners on all major social platforms.
