AAHOA is a trade association with nearly 20,000 members, serving the needs of hotel owners across the United States. We are seeking a driven, solution-oriented self-starter. You will manage learning experience programs via live events, digital education, and learning resource platforms. You will lead efforts to build audiences and offerings. Your daily mission will focus on propelling AAHOA to be a respected lodging industry resource for hotel industry education, tools, and information.

You will be an ambassador for the association and its programs by driving member and vendor engagement in AAHOA’s educational offerings. You will be responsible for supporting online and event learning, including webinars, webcasts, podcasts, certificate programs, annual convention and regional meeting education events, professional development workshops, education resource center administration, content management, and many other facets of educational programming curation, delivery, member engagement, data analysis, reporting, and program support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage AAHOA Hotel Owners Academy

  • Reports to Vice President of Franchise Relations and Education.
  • Implements and maintains educational programs to support AAHOA Members.
  • Responsible for ensuring continuous curriculum enhancement and adding new educational programs, events, and resources.
  • Serves as the liaison to the AAHOA Education & Professional Development committee.
  • Delivers monthly, quarterly, and annual departmental progress reports and analyses of program participation and results.
  • Follows industry trends, organizes research projects, develops departmental position papers, and delivers departmental recommendations as necessary.
  • Maintains knowledge of and adheres to AAHOA association governance policy and bylaws.
  • Manages the development of annual convention (AAHOACON) education breakout sessions, master classes, and workshops. Assists in coordinating annual AAHOACON special educational events (e.g., Collegiate Championship Competitions).
  • With the leadership team, develop annual strategies to engage tomorrow’s hotel industry leaders through scholastic hospitality program engagement.
  • With AAHOA region directors, plan and implement education session opportunities for each region’s annual Hotel Owners Conference (HOC) and Trade Show.
  • Support Region Directors with Town Hall education as possible.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Hotel Owners Academy Webinar Program Management

  • Serves as the face of AAHOA’s online Hotel Owners Academy.
  • Plans and delivers monthly webinars.
  • Collaborates with the AAHOA business development team to engage vendors whose educational content/programs are the program's foundation.
  • Runs webinar presentation platform. Moderates live webinars by welcoming attendees, introducing subject matter experts, running polls, coordinating Q&A sessions, and interacting with subject matter experts.
  • Organizes registration for live and recorded events and ensures follow-up for each webinar, including analysis of audience engagement satisfaction, and prepares stakeholder reporting.
  • Manages and executes editing of supplied or recorded content re-use and sets up new webinars, from registration landing pages to emails and surveys.
  • Provides audio, webcam, and other logistical support for special event webcasts and potential podcast audio track conversions.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to ensure programs are on-brand and built to drive audience attendance and satisfaction.
  • Develops, organizes, and maintains webinar library organizational structure.
  • Ensures offerings are organized, updated, relevant, and aligned with internal re-broadcast business protocols.
  • Follows webinar/webcast/podcast trends, formats, shows, and talent. Becomes an expert on what’s happening within the ecosystem of lodging industry online learning. Develops benchmarking strategies for ensuring program relevance.

Partner Learning Certificate Program and Educational Resouce Content (ERC) Management

  • Maintains Learning Events calendar.
  • Seeks new and innovative ways to provide AAHOA Members with educational resources, including industry information, research, annually updated reports, job aids and templates, and links to various lodging industry resources from AAHOA partners, outside experts, and others.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the AAHOA association management system, its administration, content management and credentialing capabilities, and all other features designed to support AAHOA Member education, engagement, and tracking.
  • Explores and develops content monetization opportunities.
  • Oversees educational content additions, deletions, and updates. Ensures membership can register for webinars, webcasts, webinar courses, workshops, and live educational events.
  • Participates in planning and maintaining AAHOA third-party partner curriculum and certificate programs to meet evolving member needs.
  • Administrates all facets of learner content engagement tracking, asset utilization, performance analytics, progress monitoring, and stakeholder reporting.

Qualifications

  • Advanced digital content skills and an explorer of new technologies.
  • Successful experiences building, curating, or delivering adult education.
  • Knowledge of learning content management systems and technologies is a plus.
  • Interest and experience in analyzing, managing, and reporting learner data.
  • Proficiency working in Microsoft 365, Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, and content generation platforms, such as Canva.
  • Proven willingness and ability to work quickly in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated work ethic and positive attitude; thrives under pressure and can deliver compelling results and implement assigned projects quickly.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with high independence, collaboratively as part of a team, and engage with senior leaders.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a highly cross-departmental manner.
  • Proven writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to convey complex information in clear, compelling ways.
  • Strong planning and project management with excellent time-management skills.
  • Willingness to adopt project management platforms, like Basecamp or Slack.

Experience

  • Webinar delivery platform familiarity (e.g., GoTo Webinar, Zoom, or others).
  • Demonstrated success in developing/curating online educational content.
  • Experience delivering virtual and classroom learning preferred.
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and learning management systems (LMS) is preferred.
  • Exposure to associations/association management organizations is a plus.
  • Hospitality industry background or training experiences preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
