Job Description Summary: About the Role

The Venmo FP&A role resides within the Consumer FP&A team and acts as a key partner for the Venmo Business Unit. The candidate will lead financial planning and reporting processes for key Venmo Products.

Job Description:

We are looking for a strong finance / FP&A professional to join the Venmo FP&A team within PayPal. You will own the budgeting and forecasting process for key products within the Venmo umbrella.

  • Own financial planning, reporting and performance monitoring of key Venmo Products.
  • Manage key FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, R&Os, monthly close, performance reporting, and others.
  • Review and communicate performance against defined targets. Regularly perform variance and sensitivity analyses on (weekly/monthly) on revenue and margin.
  • Drive conversations with cross functional partners across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Risk and other Finance teams.
  • Support and drive the planning of investment decisioning.
  • Develop, optimize, and standardize FP&A processes, including coordination of automation opportunities and sharing of best practices.
  • Synthesize and communicate the financial narrative in periodic reviews with the Business unit.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Venmo business. Identify key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses and communicate key findings to various stakeholders across the organization to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional related experience preferably in Fintech or payments processing businesses.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA/Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field a bonus.
  • Demonstrated experience in reporting and finance processes in matrixed environments.
  • Advanced Proficiency with MS Office specifically with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented, highly analytical individual who strives for excellence and wants to be part of a great team.
  • Able to challenge the status quo and act as a catalyst within the organization.
  • Highly comfortable with fast turnaround times.
  • Communication skills: experience distilling complex financial analyses and preparing powerful presentations with a crisp and clear storyline.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $99300 to $216040.

For the majority of employees, PayPal's balanced hybrid work model offers 3 days in the office for effective in-person collaboration and 2 days at your choice of either the PayPal office or your home workspace.
