Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. As a Data Engineer with a strong foundation in dbt, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and data models that support our organization's analytics and reporting needs.
The Role
- Data Modeling: Design and implement robust data models using dbt, ensuring data integrity and consistency across various data sources.
- Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources into our data warehouse.
- dbt Development: Leverage dbt to create reusable and maintainable data transformations, tests, and documentation.
- Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimization: Continuously optimize data pipelines and models for performance and scalability.
- Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, models, and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- In-depth knowledge of dbt and its best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Core Skills
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks.
