Our client company is one of the most famous manufacturers and retail organizations, and a well-known brand dating back over 40 years. With locations around the world, and several major projects underway, they are growing their internal IT team at record-breaking speed. With the recent release of several new and groundbreaking products, they are in the middle of a digital transformation with countless long-term projects underway and set to kick off in 2024.
They are searching for a full-time Sr. Data Engineer to join their team as this company is looking to move their most important technical resources in-house after having been contracted out to 3rd party partners. This Sr. Data Engineer will have ownership over the development and new engineering efforts of their Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to drive the organization's continuous growth.
Position Summary
- Be hands-on in the development of cloud data warehousing initiatives.
- Work closely with integration teams to design and optimize data integrations from multiple data sources.
- Build logic for the movement of data out of SAP and into Snowflake
- Optimize data infrastructure, pipelines, and processing workflows for system performance.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate technical specifications.
- Perform quality checks and find root-cause of problems and issue resolutions.
- Design, develop and maintain data models and schemas.
- Work with the business to make recommendations based on business and technical needs.
Minimum Experience
- At least 6 years of experience working within the data field.
- Experience working on Snowflake data warehouse projects
- 6+ years’ experience of in SQL and ETL pipeline development.
- Experience extracting Data from an ERP system is required (SAP is preferred)
- Familiarity with AWS Glue, Python, or PySpark a plus!
