About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team! Reporting to the Inventory Specialist, the Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for ensuring inventory is processed, organized, and stored. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet, focused on meeting quotas, and experienced in inventory software and databases. The warehouse assistant may also operate heavy machinery, so a candidate with experience is preferred.
What you'll do
  • Ensure inventory and materials are received, counts and weights verified and stored in an organized manner for easy retrieval.
  • Check out components and materials to the Production Team based on requests/schedule.
  • Responsible for working with other Warehouse Assistants on pallet rack placement and cataloging material/components back into inventory.
  • Inspect the levels of components/labels, and raw materials to identify shortages
  • Perform and report cycle counts to Inventory Specialist as needed
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scales and other equipment as needed
  • Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines
  • Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year experience in inventory/warehouse management systems
  • License or certification to operate heavy machinery as needed
  • Highly organized and able to store items efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Suite applications
  • Must be able to work well in a team
  • Ability to read, write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
  • Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software
  • Willingness to work and flexible with schedule
