Controls Engineer

The Controls Engineer maintains the readiness of packaging and PLC equipment used in the production process as well as influencing the quality and safety efforts in the plant manufacturing. This position helps develop packaging technicians, maintain equipment, and provide technical leadership to move the company forward and meet its goals.

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain operational readiness of packaging and PLC equipment in the plant
• Supervise Packaging Technicians, efforts to maintain equipment
• Resolve production packaging maintenance issues
• Support safety initiatives in the plant
• Ensure good quality of the product
• Manage packaging equipment projects
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Lead All PLC efforts in the Plant
• Make any necessary PLC programming changes
• Manage electronic Controls projects
• Working within cold and wet environment

Position Experience Qualifications:

• Electronic, Mechanical and PLC Troubleshooting Experience
• 10 years experiences in mechanical, electrical systems troubleshooting and maintenance and in supervising maintenance personnel

Position Education & Training Preferred:

• BSME, or BSEE, BSEET, BSIE, Undergraduate degree in technical electronic field
