One of Vaco's software clients is looking to onboard a Director of Accounting as part of an overall effort to "upgrade" their finance and accounting teams as the company continues to grow. This person will serve as a true finance partner internally and with the PE group. Would love to see someone with publicly-traded experience out of smaller, more hands-on shops.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger system, including chart of accounts maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.
4. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
5. Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with auditing standards.
6. Tax Compliance: Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimize tax strategies.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field
2. CPA required
3. Public accounting experience highly preferred
4. Public company experience required
