The role will eventually expand to every Saturday (6 hours) too. The position could lead to a long term opportunity.Responsibilities:Welcomes patients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.Prepare prior to the research visit by coordinating with the Clinical Research Team for your assignment.Assignment includes but is not limited to collecting bloodwork/urine/stool; preparing laboratory specimens; performing laboratory tests on the premises; disposing contaminated supplies; taking vital signs and electrocardiograms.Completes records by documenting the time of specimen collection, investigational product administration, medication changes, adverse events, and other visit procedures as per protocol.Educates patients by providing medication and diet information and instructions, answering questions with clinician input.Acts as a liaison for investigators and other study staff with sponsor organizations, hospital staff, and pharmaceutical companies.Required Skills:Must have at least 1 year of prior phlebotomy experienceMust have at least 1 year of experience with specimen collection, preparation and processing.Credentials Required: Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) with national recognized program; IRB CITI Training that is re-certified every 3 years.Must have attained a satisfactory level of comprehension and experience in the administration of intramuscular and subcutaneous injection techniques.Computer literacy with competence in Microsoft Office components required. Demonstrated ability to speak clearly and write proficiently.Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing, sitting, walking, visual perception, talking and hearing. Lifting up to 20lbs.IMPORTANT NOTE: Vitalief partners with clients such as major medical centers and academic institutions that often requires all on-site resources such as prospective Vitalief consultants to be inoculated annually for Influenza and successfully pass a Mantoux Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) for Mycobacterium Tuberculosis.#LI-DNIPowered by JazzHR
