Do not miss out on this opportunity, apply now and discover the exciting prospects that await you!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson for the Department of Corrections, you will perform and oversee advanced manufacturing work in the production or processing of products or services at your assigned state correctional institution.In this role, you will be instructing, training, and supervising inmates in the practices, methods, and procedures of the industry. You will be providing demonstrations, explanations, and close supervision during training and work assignments. You will be responsible for planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of assigned inmates. You will also maintain training progress reports, wage reports, and attendance records for assigned inmates and maintain established standards of quality and quantity during production through inspection of equipment, raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. In addition, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of factory equipment.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in theposition description.Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment (40-hour work week) Work hours are 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday - Friday. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $48,425.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of experience in the production of goods or services; or An associate degree in industrial technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field; and one year of work experience in the production of goods or services; or An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of work experience in the production of goods or services.Other Requirements: You must meet thePA residency requirement.
