We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Aerodynamics Engineer to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:ResponsibilitiesThe aerodynamics engineer is responsible for designing aircraft lofts and performing aerodynamic analysis using high- and low-fidelity modeling tools, supporting wind tunnel test activities, and analyzing flight test data to characterize aerodynamic behavior. Under the general direction of the Flight Physics Division Aerodynamic Design and Analysis Group, the candidate will serve as a member of a team dedicated to developing novel air-vehicle systems and executing advanced research in aerodynamics. The candidate will be expected to provide design concepts for and conduct preliminary and/or detailed analyses of aero-propulsion systems. The primary product line for design activities will be next generation air-vehicles applicable for both commercial and military use.Minimum RequirementsBS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the modeling and analysis of advanced air-vehicle systems.Experience in the design and analysis of air-vehicles at various levels of engineering fidelity.Experience in conducting aerodynamic analysis using panel methods and vortex lattice codes.Minimum of two (2) years of experience performing high fidelity simulations using RANS and URANS software.Strong English written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable presenting their work in front of senior management or customersTravel to support customer presentations or to program meetings will be required.Demonstrated ability to use programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++.Position is based out of Cambridge, MA or Manassas, VA.Must be a US PersonPreferred RequirementsMasters or Ph.
