Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, businesses, and non-profits.
- Collaborate with clients to develop personalized tax planning strategies.
- Review and finalize adjusting entries for business clients ahead of tax return preparation.
- Mentor and review the work of junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is required.
- Certifications: CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in tax preparation, including individual, corporate, and partnership returns.
- Specialization: Experience in agriculture and ranching is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in tax software (Lacerte), QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office.
- Attributes: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships with clients and colleagues. Must be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
