Salary Range: $44,740.00 - $54,682.00
Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Assistant Chief Engineer is to supervise engineering staff and ensure work orders are completed in a timely basis according to brand standards so that guests can have an excellent experience throughout their stay.
Work Performed:
- Assist in managing building assets including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
- Assist in effectively planning, scheduling and evaluating preventative maintenance programs.
- Conduct room and equipment inspections and identify repair needs.
- Ensure all associates have the proper supplies and equipment, through using company approved ordering platforms.
- Conduct appropriate coaching and accountability of engineering associates in accordance with Atrium's Core Values.
- Assist with scheduling associates according to business levels.
- Assist in vendor proposals.
- Ensure proper sanitization/disinfecting/cleaning of your work area after work is completed.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report equipment problems and maintenance issues, accidents, injuries and safety hazards, or unsafe work conditions to leadership.
- Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
Qualifications:
Required Prior Experience: 2+ years of engineering experience to include mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
Preferred Prior Experience:
- Prior supervisor/leadership experience.
- Prior hotel experience.
- Experience working with industrial laundry & kitchen equipment.
Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Licenses/ Certification: HVAC Certification.
Required Technology:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to use web-based applications.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting up to 50lbs occasionally.
- Lifting up to 15lbs regularly, standing, bending, pushing and/or pulling.
- Ability to navigate the property for up to four (4) hours within a shift.
Other: Flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
