About Us:
PAR is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the leisure and hospitality industry. We specialize in developing state-of-the-art Point of Sale (POS) hardware and software products and services that enhance the customer experience and drive profitability for our clients. We are seeking an experienced POS Hardware Product Manager to join our dynamic team and lead the strategic direction of our extensive POS hardware product portfolio.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $196,800 USD per year commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education, and prior accomplishments. The position may be eligible for additional compensation, including a bonus, commission and/or equity, as applicable.
Position Overview:
As the POS Hardware Product Manager at PAR, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our product offerings within the leisure and hospitality industry. You will leverage your extensive hardware product management experience to collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive product innovation, and ensure overall profitability for our POS products. This role requires a deep understanding of the market, customer needs, and the ability to manage product lifecycles effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for our POS hardware product portfolio, aligning with the company's business goals and objectives.
- Product Performance: Drive continuous improvement in our products for both technical and financial performance. Manage ROI.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to gather insights, understand their needs, and incorporate feedback into product development and enhancements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sales, Development, and Engineering teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product launches.
- Supply Chain Management: Work with procurement and demand planning teams to ensure efficient supply chain operations, including timely product availability and inventory management.
- Financial Management: Partner with the finance team to monitor product profitability, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product pricing and margins.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to end-of-life, ensuring that products are continuously improved, and obsolete products are phased out efficiently.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market plans, including product positioning, marketing strategies, and sales enablement tools to drive product adoption and revenue growth.
- Competitive Analysis: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitors' offerings, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet high standards of quality and reliability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all POS hardware products meet relevant industry standards and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware product management, with a preference for experience in the leisure and hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing hardware product portfolios through their lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen to drive profitability.
- Exceptional project management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
