Buyer

Title: Buyer
The Buyer is responsible to the purchasing department by:

• Processing of department paperwork and correspondence including purchase orders, acknowledgements, and requests for quotes
• Analysis of material requirements per agreed upon schedule
• Review for appropriate action related to exception messages
• Expediting and vendor contact

Position requirements include:

• Previous purchasing experience with raw sheetmetal and other metals
• Fabrication experience
• This is a job shop and the pace is extremely fast paced...need to handle the work environment pace
• This will be a hand-on position in purchasing with the potential of eventually managing the department
