About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to design and enforce policies and procedures that protect our organization's computing infrastructure from all forms of security breaches. You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and working with our IT department to resolve them, ensuring that our network and data remains secure. To be successful as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you should have expert analytical skills and an in–depth knowledge of best practices to prevent a wide range of security threats.

What You'll Do

  • Spearhead response efforts to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution and helping create best–practice playbooks.
  • Lead threat modeling exercises and MITRE mapping of existing platforms.
  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced detection mechanisms to identify potential security threats.
  • Proactively hunt for threats and vulnerabilities within the firm's digital environment.
  • Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and platforms to streamline IR processes and enhance overall security operations efficiency.
  • Perform in–depth analysis and reverse engineering of malware and other malicious artifacts to uncover hidden threats and attack vectors.
  • Leverage your expertise in reverse engineering to dissect complex malware, understand its behavior, and develop robust detection and mitigation strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis to improve defenses and detection capabilities.
  • Apply a deep understanding of security principles and practices to all aspects of your work.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security policies and update security policies based on emerging threats and organizational needs.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.

What We Look For

  • 5+ years of professional information security experience
  • Experience with threat modeling, threat detection, uncovering potential security risks.
  • Degree in Computer Science or extensive experience in a related technology field.
  • Professional information security certification.
  • You have a strong desire to continually learn about new technologies.
  • Strong bias for action, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of AWS cloud security principles.
  • Strong Security operational experience.
  • Solid knowledge of various information security frameworks.
  • Excellent problem–solving and analytical skills.
