The anticipated salary range for this role is between $137,000.00 and $196,000.00, based on individual qualifications and experiences. Role Description
JRIA is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to focus on ACH payment processing and support of the Front and Back Office solutions as well as related Payment and Deposit application support.
Role Objectives
- Work with Project sponsors/members, stakeholders, developers to understand, capture, document business needs.
- Create functional and business requirements documents, draft project initiation documents.
- Write functional specifications, manage a product backlog, provide production support, prioritize bugs and enhancements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize strategic requests, contract, and partner with external firms, execute changes in a high-quality fashion, and communicate progress to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with and support wider PM/BA team.
- Collaborate with the Information security and architecture teams to implement secure banking systems that meet and exceed the Infosec control requirements.
- Write user stories, documentation, conduct training sessions on new functionality.
- Document SIT and UAT test plans, participate when needed, perform QA functions and execute, track test cases.
- Work with users to document testing efforts, assist in testing. Track defects and resolutions.
- Work with technology and business teams to document production implementation, validation plans.
- Chair or participate in working group meetings, author status reports, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Archive all project documentation into company-wide repository.
- Participate in production support and BAU enhancements (in-house and vendor developed applications).
- Ensure banking product and technical decisions are aligned with Banks strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences -technical, as well as business.
Qualifications and Skills
- 7+ years of relevant experience in financial services industry.
- Experience in writing a range of requirements and testing related artifacts; Use Cases, Business Requirements Document, Functional Requirements Document, Testing Scenarios, etc.
- Advanced SQL Query knowledge.
- Experience in payments processing such as CHIPS, Fedwire and SWIFT is preferred.
- Experience with ACH, electronic payments, NACHA Rules and regulations is strongly preferred.
- AAP/APRP certification is strongly preferred.
- PEP+ experience a plus.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- A solid understanding of project management and the associated business processes.
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail.
- Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly.
