We are seeking a D365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Solution Architect who enjoys inspiring the future and understands how to apply solid development principles and knowledge to create excellent processes and user experiences in D365 F&O.

As a member of an expanding cross-functional team, they will work collaboratively to lead top initiatives to implement best practices in Microsoft's ERP solution D365 Finance and Operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions (ex: finance, operations, purchasing, inventory, distribution, and customer service); gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats, and assessing the business impact of those requirements.
  • Design end-to-end solutions based on business requirements through Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform.
  • Be the ERP functional and technical thought leader in defining required architectural deliverables including design documents, specifications, workflow charts, diagrams, and development approaches and standards.
  • Recommend new solutions and/or solution improvements to organizational leaders and additional stakeholders to gain alignment.
  • Actively lead the implementation of approved changes and leverage effective usage of business systems to drive functional improvements.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and functional and technical standards in support of solution development efforts.
  • Rapidly prototype and conduct functional and technical feasibility assessments for solutions.
  • Partner with Microsoft and internal/external IT functional and technical teams to design and deliver solutions for usability, scalability, security, and process efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot process and application issues and lead the team on recommended solutions; set expectations on identifying test scenarios and unit/integration testing.
  • Define and own project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, change management, and budgetary needs.
  • Own the delivery and stability of the solution post go-live without impact to business operations.
  • Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 5+ years experience in solution architecture with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, Microsoft Axapta 2012, and Microsoft Axapta 2009.
  • Experience with configuration and customization of Dynamics 365 using tools such as Power Platform, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Understanding of integration technologies, and data migration strategies and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience transforming customer requirements into a workable design at the functional and/or technical levels.
  • Experience organizing workload to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment; willing to set strategy and be hands on.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to work and lead in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, partnering with multiple stakeholders to affect positive change.
  • Detailed oriented, analytical, and inquisitive with the end-to-end solutions in mind.
  • Demonstrated understanding of software development concepts.
  • Experience with conducting and creating cost/benefit analyses and business cases.
  • Microsoft Certifications preferred: Dynamics 365 Solution Architect, Dynamics 365 Customization and Configuration, or equivalent.
