Job Requirements / Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented R&D Technician to assist in product research and development operations related to biomedical, R&D, process engineering, and pilot manufacturing. This is a great opportunity to contribute to innovative healthcare solutions in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support development activities, including feasibility and stability studies, both internally and through contracted services.
  • Collaborate with vendors on external development and testing operations.
  • Perform and support testing essential for the development of medical devices.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new manufacturing processes in compliance with QSR/cGMP requirements.
  • Contribute to writing protocols, procedures, reports, and regulatory documentation.
  • Handle the procurement, installation, and validation of analytical and test equipment.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment used for chemical and physical analyses.
  • Assist in prototype creation and collaborate with engineers and designers to improve device designs.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned to support project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the medical device industry and laboratory settings.
  • Solid knowledge of analytical chemistry and testing methods for medical devices.
  • Familiarity with GLP, ISO, and QSR standards applicable to medical device development.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting test equipment.
  • Strong skills in writing protocols, procedures, and regulatory documents.
  • Detail-oriented with an understanding of overall business objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Conditions:

  • Hybrid position based out of North East Metro Atlanta office.
  • Primarily office or cube workstation setting.
  • Regularly required to communicate effectively.
  • Position involves sitting and typing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs and occasionally work overtime.
  • Minimal travel (up to 5%), mainly local.
