The Group Sales Manager – Major Market is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, soliciting and generating business. This role will also manage select business travel accounts and further develop those relationships with our top accounts. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well-organized documentation and reports, utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate. The Group Sales Manager – Major Market will also participate and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings. The Group Sales Manager – Major Market also works as a team member with the sales and catering staff in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.
The salary range for this position is $66,100.00 - $95,700.00. This is the pay range for this position that Hyatt Regency La Jolla reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
- Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
- Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
