Financial Analysts on the Central Finance Team at Microsoft are responsible for analysis of company performance, creation of financial forecasts, development of the annual budget, ensuring accurate close results and providing ad-hoc support for management requests.

Responsibilities

  1. Contributes to the analysis of present and future financial performance of various products, segments, or other businesses.
  2. Contributes insights for financial plans, variance analysis, resource optimization, investments, key performance indicators (KPIs), long-range planning, and driving margin accountability.
  3. Manages and executes processes through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Assembles and summarizes data through data mining and business intelligence to structure reports and financial models for decision support.
  5. Leverages statistical analyses, predictive analytics, and financial modeling techniques to conduct sophisticated analyses.
  6. Communicates recurring and ad-hoc results and recommendations in a logical and understandable manner.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  1. Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience.
