Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with administration, counselors, and varsity coaches to build an appropriate APC (advanced physical conditioning) curriculum and program
  • Scheduled ongoing meetings with coaches and the athletic director to review student-athlete data and metrics
  • Make appropriate program recommendations to administration for the student-athletes best interest
  • Oversee the high school summer weightlifting program with extended contracted days
  • Ability to guide and mentor athletes in all mens and womens sports
  • Creative, growth, and progressive mindset
  • Run, manage and maintain a leadership program for male and female student-athletes
  • Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in
  • Participate in ongoing certification and professional development.
  • Maintain grade books.
  • Utilize various curriculum resources.
  • Observe, evaluate, and report student's performance.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.
Contract Days: 184 Days
Pay Rate: $21.75/Hour

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • 4 or more years of relevant experience
  • Pass expanded criminal history check and expanded child protection index check required by IC 20-26-5-10
  • Apply for an Adjunct Teaching Permit in the content area of "Blended and Online Teaching"
  • Experience in working with challenging youth
  • Able to work effectively and communicate with a wide range of students, staff and administration.
  • Proficient and competent demonstration of reading and writing capabilities.
  • Strong human relations skills, including professional tact, diplomacy and presentation.
  • Multi-tasking ability and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to utilize 21st century technological skills to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Maintain a Substitute Teaching Permit
  • Complete any and all training within the prescribed timeframes for adjunct teaching license per Indiana Code.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
