Clinical Education Specialist

Summary

• Develop and implement orientation programs for new employees with emphasis on regulatory issues and company values.
• Conduct in-service programs based on needs assessment, state surveys, and introduction of new products and technology.
• Provide education to staff, residents, and families on infection prevention, control, and public health requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments for occupational health and safety.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and set individual goals to support staff development.

Job Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• BSN or related baccalaureate preparation in education preferred
• Current RN license
• CPR/AED certification required, CPR instructor certification highly desirable
• Specialized training in infection prevention and control
• Minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience required
• Educational and supervisory/management experience preferred
• Previous experience in long-term care required
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other programs such as EMR
