Sentry Security & Investigations is looking for a General Manager to conduct and oversee the Security, Investigations and Business Operations in the following areas: Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and other regions in which business may develop. Travel may be required.
The General Manager is a full-time salaried position with evening and weekend work, as necessary. The position will have the ability to perform some duties remotely. The General Manager will have a required minimum number of billable hours providing services to both security and investigation clients.
Compensation package will consist of a base salary of $60,000 plus commission.
Summary Description
The General Manager is a result-driven individual that has an entrepreneurial spirit and vision to direct and manage the organization’s activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies and programs.
The duties will include meeting the business objectives of maintaining relationships with clients, improving service, ensuring sustainability, improving revenue, and enhancing the organization’s image. These objectives are accomplished by allocating budget resources, managing operational costs, improving administration processes, formulating policies, hiring and training staff, monitoring and motivating staff, and increasing staff productivity.

General Management
- Lead the organization and its employees.
- Be responsible for making the day-to-day decisions that affect company performance and, ultimately, shareholder wealth.
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Establishing strategic goals and operating objectives under the oversight of the CEO.
- Directing employees to carry out business activities and managing their performance of those tasks.
- Determining the use and allocation of company resources and assets.
- Evaluating the organization’s successes or failures and recalibrating the strategic approach accordingly.
- Holding responsibility for the design and operation of the organization’s internal controls.
- Setting the true ethical tone of the organization.
Skills

General Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field.
- Five (5) years of business management experience.
- Good knowledge of business functions.
- Computer literate. Have excellent computer skills and is proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
- Experience or desire to work in management in security and investigations.
- Has a commitment to high professional ethical standards.
