Job Summary:


The Sustainability Jr. Analyst will elevate Equinix’s global sustainability program in support of our cross-functional partners and stakeholders. The position will provide key support to Equinix’s climate programs and sustainability messaging which includes climate target-setting and reporting, climate risk studies, the development of internal dashboards, and sustainability content management. This role will report to the Sustainability Manager, Climate Strategy within the Sustainability Program Office (SPO) and will work cross-functionally with operations, global design & construction, procurement, product, and finance as required to drive Equinix’s global sustainability program.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to climate programs through data collection & analysis, preparation of presentations & reports, and benchmarking
  • Provide logistical and administrative support including scheduling, note taking, and email correspondence
  • Develop and maintain internal dashboards & tracking mechanisms for climate-related metrics
  • Conduct basic research related to the sustainability program office across the environment, social and governance pillar strategies and metrics, and analyses as required
  • Support external ESG disclosures (CDP, S&P CSA, GRI, etc) & green finance reporting
  • Support the management of sustainability content and ensure consistency across all documentation, tools, and reports for both internal and external use
  • Support and attend team meetings and other organizational events as required
  • Research duties related to other sustainability program office initiatives as assigned


Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience in sustainability
  • Bachelors degree in relevant field (STEM, communications, etc) or equivalent job experience
  • Basic understanding of sustainability best practices
  • Ideally has knowledge of sustainability programs specific to energy, environment and emissions (e.g. CDP, The Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Science-based Targets Initiative, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex sustainability topics to a broad range of audiences
  • Ability to design and carry out relevant work including content reviews, metrics analysis, customer analysis, and presentation development
  • Cross-functional project management skills
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
