In this role, you will focus on supporting community projects in water/wastewater/stormwater engineering as well as the planning, design, and management of various civil engineering projects.Job Activities:Support Municipal related project developmentStaff development and supervisionDesign and review IDOT, county & municipal transportation needs.Design and Review of water, wastewater and storm related projects.Manage projects from inception to completionDevelop and maintain relationships with state and local authorities.Conceptual design of storm water BMP’s.Oversee and execute permits related to Agencies such as IDNR, IEPA, NPDES, IDNR floodplains, and USACE wetlands.Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines and client consultantsAttend city staff and council/ board meetingsCommunicate with clients regarding current projects and develop future projectsOrganize and complete projects from inception to completionDevelop and mentor staff and collaborate with the entire Civil teamPrepare project proposalsSpecific Requirements:BS in Civil Engineering15 - 20 years of civil engineering experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) LicenseProven leadership skills with engineering staffAbility to effectively manage clients and participate in business development activitiesStrong project management, communication, and organizational skillsStrong team player that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneouslyContract and negotiating skillsAbout Farnsworth Group Farnsworth Group is an award winning, employee-owned engineering, architecture, and surveying firm with more than 500 employees located in nearly 30 offices nationwide.
