Description
- Provide post-operative care to patients who have undergone non-invasive procedures under fluoroscopy.
- Transports patients from procedure room to post-op recovery area, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitors patient vital signs and physical cues, assessing for potential complications and responding appropriately. Seeks immediate assistance from Suite RN or Physician if necessary.
- Collaborates with team to ensure all patients are contacted prior to procedure with pre-procedure instructions.
- Thoroughly discusses patient questions and clinical information with patient. Utilizes clinical knowledge, training and experience to recognize clinical situations posing potential risk and requiring the attention of the physician prior to the procedure.
- Thoroughly documents all pre-procedure documentation following established protocols.
- Provides education and discharge instructions to patient and family members.
- Assists with all operational aspects of the fluoroscopy suite, including: chart prep, pre-op phone calls to patients, inventory, stocking, and cleaning, and performs other duties as assigned.

- Schedule: Monday - Friday. Must be flexible with hours to accommodate procedures beginning at 7:00 am.
- Location: Stuart
- Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting, preferably with in-office procedures.
- Experience in pain management, orthopaedics, and/or podiatry preferred.
- EMR experience required.
- Must have current MA credentialing for MU or obtain within 6 months of employment.
- Lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, stooping, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (weighted lead apron) for long periods of time.
