CCMS & Associates is looking for a 1099 Field Adjuster in Texas.We are seeking a multi-line, Texas-licensed field adjuster with at least 5 years of extensive experience in commercial auto, motor truck cargo, and general liability. T his role includes desk and field investigations in geographical territory. Responsible for handling liability and physical property damage claims.Requirements:5+ years of experience handling liability and physical damage claimsPrior experience conducting investigationsMust have a valid driver’s licensePossess an active Texas adjuster’s licenseMaintain and meet state-specific licensing requirementsDemonstrate excellent written communication skills necessary to compile and present detailed written reports and ensure full documentation of each claim investigationPossess thorough knowledge of current principles and practices associated with claims investigations and adjustingDemonstrate extensive knowledge of medical terminology with a thorough understanding of legal principles and litigation managementResponsibilities:Determine the extent of insurance coverage and liability on each filed claimInvestigate claims, including, but not limited to, interviewing claimants, insureds, and witnessesConduct thorough inspectionsObtain necessary records, including but not limited to, hospital records, police reports, and physician recordsPresent thorough and accurate reports including photographs and statements.Determine the amount of the claim payoutNegotiate settlementsEffectively address and maintain incoming documentsAttend meetings, mediations, conferences, workshops, or training sessionsReview written material to maintain current knowledge and new developments in assigned work areasRespond to client questions and commentsTravel as required for claim or scene investigationsPerform other duties as assignedAll candidates must pass a full background check (void in states where prohibitedPowered by JazzHR
