In this role, you will be instrumental in building and optimizing data pipelines to efficiently gather and process data from diverse external sources. Your expertise in developing validation and analytics processes will ensure our team consistently delivers data accuracy and reliability for mission-critical tasks. Onsite presence required.

Description

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with analysts and product leads to design and implement effective data solutions .
2. Optimize data pipelines to enhance performance and minimize manual intervention.
3. Develop and maintain data pipelines for collecting and processing data from external sources.
4. Work closely with data engineers to troubleshoot issues and uphold data quality and reliability .
5. Create validation and analytics processes that align with business objectives and strategic goals.
6. Support machine learning and data visualization initiatives as needed.
7. Continuously improve data solutions to meet evolving customer needs.
8. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver excellence and achieve objectives.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 4 years of experience with SQL and modern Big Data ETL technologies, such as NiFi or StreamSets.
2. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
3. Strong proficiency in a modern programming language, such as Python or Java , with at least 4 years of experience in a big data and cloud environment .
4. Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and collaborate across functional teams.
5. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
6. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results .
7. Must be based in the DC Metro area and able to work onsite in Crystal City, VA and Alexandria, VA 2-3 days per week.

Nice to Have:

1. Recent DoD or IC-related experience .
2. Experience working in an Agile development environment.
3. Previous experience with Advana is a plus.
