Location : Norfolk, VA (on-site)

Employment Length : Long Term Contract

Pay : $50-$60 /hr + SCA ($4.57 /hr)

Schedule: M-F

Hours: You will work in collaboration with the West Coast team, need candidates open to working West Coast day hours

Hard Requirements :

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • 4+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
  • Bachelors degree in IT (will accept 4 additional years of experience in Lieu of degree)
  • CompTIA Security+ (needed) & Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA- preferred)
  • IAT Level III Compliant (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH)


Responsibilities:

  • Provide Information Assurance Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and thought leadership for the largest Intranet in the world. A qualified candidate for this position would be responsible for network design, integration, test, security, and implementation of Transport Services for the as-fielded NMCI network.
  • Collaborates with Network Domain Architects to define and/or continuously improve:
  • -Audits and Reviews STIG compliant configuration baselines, versioning, and compliance tracking.
  • -Test and Validate Automation and best practice insertion opportunities.
  • -Leads development of SOPs/TTPs.
  • -Continuous Service Improvements (CSI).
  • -System performance tuning and enhancements.
  • -Create and maintain Engineering Implementation Plans (EIP).
  • Extensive knowledge of defense-in-depth principles, Network and Security architecture, network topology, IT device integrity, and common security elements.
  • Plans and executes network upgrades and maintenance activities with the NMCI Operations Manager, NOC Lead, Release Management team and other key stakeholders.
  • Tier III escalation support and vendor engagement supporting Incident Management activities.
  • Active participation in Root Cause Analysis for Problem Management activities.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience providing support to the NMCI program is highly desired.
  • Experience with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM) identity management solution.
  • Advanced/Professional level vendor certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto).
  • Demonstrated NET/SEC DevOps experience.
  • ITIL v3/v4 certification/training.
  • Agile certifications or applicable experience.
