Position Overview
The Social Impact Data Analyst supports social impact evaluation to advance Cardea’s vision, mission, and values. The Social Impact Data Analyst will join a vibrant team of evaluators passionate about equitable evaluation strategies. This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Senior Manager, Social Impact Evaluation, and will be based out of the Austin, Texas or Seattle, Washington region.
Cardea offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes employer-sponsored medical, dental, and vision premiums for the employee with an employee cost-share; Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts; employer-paid life insurance, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance; and a monthly stipend to support work-related internet and cell phone expenses. Cardea also provides 20 days of paid time off (PTO) per year in the first year of employment with annual PTO accrual increases through the sixth year of employment and 13 paid holidays.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $85,000 annually. The starting/hiring range is $60,000 to $73,000 annually.

Specific Duties
- Contribute to social impact evaluation initiatives that advance Cardea’s vision, mission, and values
- Work across Cardea teams and in a team-based environment to meet project goals and objectives
- Design, develop, and implement innovative, efficient data analysis plans in partnership with Cardea staff and community partners
- Support community-centered and efficient data requests, extraction, management, cleaning, and analysis to ensure adherence to social impact evaluation protocols and maintain quality
- Generate summary tables, figures, and briefs to communicate quantitative and qualitative data findings
- Draft data dashboards and summaries for Cardea staff and external partners
- Support data visualization through charts/graphs/figures/tables using best practices for data storytelling
- Collaborate with Cardea staff to troubleshoot social impact evaluation-related challenges and improve processes
- Participate in local, regional, and national meetings and trainings, as requested
Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in data management, data science, statistics, informatics, public health, public administration, social sciences, or a related field
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in health and human service issues
- Demonstrated experience in community-centered and decolonized data management
- Demonstrated experience in data visualization and reporting best practices for mixed methods evaluations
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative data management, analysis, and software packages (SPSS, R, STATA, Tableau, ArcGIS, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in qualitative data management, analysis, and software packages (Dedoose, NVivo, ATLAS.ti, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively in a small, diverse team environment and across multiple office locations
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with diverse constituencies including public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and other community groups and organizations
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with co-workers, clients, and program partners
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks and in organizing and prioritizing work assignments and ongoing duties
- Ability to rapidly assimilate new information and adjust to dynamic work environment
- Ability to think creatively
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally with overnight stays
