Manager, Video Editor
Position Summary:
The Manager, Video Editor is a highly creative storyteller with cutting-edge technical expertise in video production and post-production. As a key member of our in-house creative agency, you'll leverage your exceptional editing skills to craft compelling visual narratives that elevate Silversea's brand across various channels and touchpoints. This position will report onsite in Miami, FL
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects, conventions, and processes.
- Perform complex video editing tasks such as, but not limited to, adding graphics, special effects, and animations to edits.
- Manipulate film and video footage using modern editing techniques.
- Collaborate with creative team to ensure cohesion between script & visual plan.
- Digitize, edit, and color correct footage using Adobe Premiere Pro adding motion graphics and effects in Adobe After Effects.
- Review video assets after production to determine selects for team usage.
- Responsible for assisting the visual designer with high-resolution digital retouching.
- Keep videos organized under our folder.
- Create master clips and encodes to multiple formats for distribution.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Film or Media Arts preferred.
Years of experience:
- 7 - 10 years professional experience in video editing & image retouching.
- Portfolio of completed work. Experience working in studio or agency preferred.
- Cruise, travel or hospitality environment a plus. Must have a working knowledge of printing processes to ensure print feasibility, color adjustment and file building techniques.
- Must have expert knowledge of editing processes on Adobe Premiere to ensure correct exports. Strong color management & color theory skill set required.
- Can tailor material for web delivery and distribution.
- Expert working in Adobe After Effects.
- Expert working knowledge of Photoshop, layers, masks, paths, color correction tools, actions, and non-destructive workflow.
- Adobe Illustrator and Media Encoder knowledge is a plus.
- Understanding of current and emerging digital media formats, encoding schemes and channels of distribution.
- Working knowledge of broadcast television, video production, interactive television, and non-linear editing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to follow creative direction and build upon creative ideas when needed.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to provide guidance and constructive criticism to other creatives.
- Knowledge of sound editing.
- Knowledge of advanced color grading techniques.
- Ability to use DSLR camera, digital cinema camera, studio camera, or professional camcorders a plus.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal collaboration skills and executive presence with the ability to present work to stakeholders at all levels with confidence.
- Hunger to learn continuing developments in the field.
- Must be creative, passionate, detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Must be a team player.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Portfolio of real-world work samples required showcasing a strong creative background across a diverse array of deliverables, including a proven background in executing email campaigns.
- Advanced mastery of Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is required.
- Demonstrated experience and up-to-date knowledge of Mac applications, including knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint and Excel; Experience with Wrike or similar project management platforms is a plus.
- Experience in email HTML.
- Front-end UI/UX design is a plus (but not required).
- Basic understanding of digital marketing principles, specifically email marketing best practices.
- Strategic thinking, prioritization skills, troubleshooting and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of design as it pertains to email marketing; best practices for creating optimized email templates and responsive design.
- Knowledge of digital media unit (banner ad) design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment are essential.
Additional Information as Required:
Physical demands and working conditions and environment: The position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds. Requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines such as computers, printers and telephones. Requires flexibility to work occasional overtime, evening hours and weekends. Works in a typical office environment with moderate noise generated by telephone conversations, computer, printer, copier and light traffic.
