Senior Underwriter

Company Overview: Join a P&C carrier, as a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate commercial insurance applications to determine risk acceptability and appropriate coverage levels.
• You would underwrite a mix of admitted and non-admitted GL and Package accounts
• Analyze financial statements, loss history, and other relevant data to assess risk factors and pricing considerations.
• Collaborate with agents and brokers to gather necessary information and negotiate terms and conditions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriting assistants, and other stakeholders.
• Mix of new business and renewals

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial lines underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, policies, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and make sound underwriting decisions.
