HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Job Summary:
- Performs a full range of waived, moderate, and high complexity testing and reports results.
- Confirms the accuracy and precision of test results and reports laboratory findings to the pathologist and other physicians on a timely basis.
- Must have complete understanding of testing procedures and the theoretical knowledge to be able to interpret results and to troubleshoot problems encountered during testing.
Reports to: Microbiology Lab Section Head (JC: 023601)
Supervises: None
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY
Required Education:
- Associate degree (or equivalent) in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
Required Experience: No required experience needed
Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Licensed by the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 483 (Health Testing Services), Part I (Clinical Laboratory Personnel) with added specialties in clinical chemistry, and/or hematology, and/or microbiology, and/or serology.
