Title: Head of Swap Dealer Regulatory Reporting
Office Status: Hybrid 2x a week in Jersey City
Salary: $250,000 Base + Bonus
We’re representing a multi-billion-dollar tech-driven investment firm. Launched in 2018 and now publicly traded (their stock price is up over 40% over the past year – over $5b AUM) they specialize in trading and strategic advisory investments for various cryptocurrency, hedge fund and venture style investments.
They work with over 1,000 institutional trading counterparties which makes them industry leaders and just got their Swap Dealer business approved.
The CFO is looking for a Head of Swap Dealer Regulatory Reporting to build out a team to manage all financial reporting, reg requirements for CFTC along with monitoring all OTC derivative trade reporting as well as building out a team.
Job Description
- Ensure compliance with all swap dealer financial regulatory requirements (ie CFTC, NFA).
- As the head of the US regulatory group, oversee daily and monthly regulatory filings including daily capital computations. Review position, margin and counterparty reports.
- Monthly analysis and review of legal entity balance sheet and income statement including detailed review of balance sheet reconciliations. Evaluate new products, services and business initiatives from regulatory finance perspective, to ensure proper setup and that issues are identified and addressed.
- Develop and enhance the existing processes including understanding data flows in order to lead automation efforts.
- Create, update and maintain process documentation and procedures.
- Financial point person on regulatory examinations.
- Serve as a point of contact and manage relationships with the regulators and external auditors.
- Laisse with other teams within the swap dealer, such as Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and IT to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
Qualifications
- 8+ years with CFTC Swap Dealer Regulatory Reporting
- Extensive understanding of derivatives trading products
- CPA is a plus
